Ingredients:
1 cup white flour
• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ¾ cup cocoa powder for baking
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
Drain and press your tofu block for 10 minutes (or until desired texture is achieved) An average block of tofu usually weighs between 8 to 12 ounces.
You will want to calculate the amount of tofu you need based on the desired number of servings.
A good rule of thumb is to use ½ cup of drained tofu for each adult. Also, if you enjoy more vegetables, adjust as desired.
In a pan with some water sauté the onion and jalapenos for 2 minutes then add your garlic.
The garlic should only take about 30 seconds to sauté to avoid bitterness. You can sauté with oil as well.
Crumble your tofu into the pan and sauté all ingredients for another 3 minutes adding soy milk if you feel that the ingredients are sticking.
Add the nutritional yeast, salt, pepper and turmeric.
Once the tofu and veggies are sauteed to your preference add the tomato the very last 30 seconds of the sauté process.
Serve on plate or place inside of warm vegan wrap.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with vegan salsa.
